Gilbert is the president of the university student ministry of Argentine AG (Contacto Universitario), a member of La Red Universitaria (the AG network of university ministries in Latin America) and ACLAME (Association of Caribbean and Latin American Missionary Educators), and a member of the Commission on Sexual Exploitation, Slavery and Trafficking, a sub-committee of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. He has served over 30 years in university student ministry in the United States and Latin America.

A lawyer with a Master's in Theology and a DMin. She pioneered university ministry in the AG Argentina and has served in cross-cultural settings in Canada and the Philippines.
